1988 Porsche 930 Turbo Local Garage Find!
Stashed away in a local garage, this 1988 911 Turbo is looking for a new home.
With 60K miles on the clock, this car is uniquely equipped with a K27 turbocharger and and Andial intercooler. Interior is grey leather, power sunroof, power heated and lumbar adjustable drivers seat and power passenger seat, all in excellent condition. Dash, rear package tray, door panels also in excellent condition. All instruments, switches, fans, vents are functioning as new. AC is not operational. Rubber window seals and glass are all in excellent condition as well. No rust. Original motor and transmission. Original window sticker and good documentation. Just passed California Smog Inspection.
FULL DISCLOSURE: Because the Car has not been operated regularly for the last 4-5 years, a full inspection was performed by Schneider Autohaus here in Santa Barbara. After a thorough inspection, service and paint correction the car is running/driving well and looks great although some major services will be necessary to restore this 930 to its former glory.
The inspection included a leak down and compression test which indicated blow by on both the valve trains and the pistons, so an engine out service/rebuild would be in its near future. Numbers available upon request.
There are some other deferred maintenance items such as brakes, strut inserts, tires, bypass valve bushings/seals, oil leaks and engine cooling fan that will require some attention. Car is lacking factory tool kit.
There is also a reported accident with full documentation including police report.
